PEERNET Inc. Announces PEERNET.DRV 4.0 Raster Print Drivers

OTTAWA - July 21st, 2000 - PEERNET Inc., the industry leader in raster print driver technology, today announced the release of PEERNET.DRV Raster Print Drivers 4.0. This enhanced version of PEERNET.DRV Raster Print Drivers makes them the most advanced raster-image print drivers available.

The four drivers, which already support Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4. 0 Workstation, and Windows NT 4.0 Server, will now also support Windows 2000 Workstation, Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Terminal Services Client, Windows NT 4.0 Server (Terminal Server Edition), and Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Services Client. Availability on these platforms makes PEERNET.DRV Raster Print Drivers the only drivers that support both Windows and Windows Terminal products in a uniform fashion.

The PEERNET.DRV Raster Print Drivers convert Microsoft Windows documents into high-quality serialized or multi-page digital images. The drivers are used primarily as complementary technologies to document management and distribution systems.

PEERNET President and CEO Robert Massart explains the enhancements to PEERNET.DRV Raster Print Drivers 4.0. "With enhanced platform support, client-server capabilities, extended control of the printing process, and special commands, PEERNET.DRV Raster Print Drivers 4.0 let users solve a much wider range of workflow automation problems with no additional programming."

Special commands allow users to create documents with embedded instructions to the driver to change output files, skip pages, save pages to different files in different formats, add pages to existing files, and much more. Enhanced post-processing has four points at which a user-specified command can be executed. The print driver can be installed on a server as a shared printer, then installed on clients through the Add Printer wizard.

With all of these enhancements, Massart is confident that PEERNET.DRV Raster Print Drivers 4.0 will continue to dominate the market.
