Speed Up IntelliCAD 98

A concern for some IntelliCAD 98 users relates to performance, or more correctly lack of it. Sluggish load times and less than optimal display performance can be frustrating.

It is expected that these issues will be addressed in the next patch for IntelliCAD 98, due for release in July 1998. Until then, try some of these speed up suggestions:

• Make the IntelliCAD window size a little smaller to improve display performance.
• Set the color palette in the Windows Control Panel to 256 colors.
• Increase virtual memory size. Set it from the Windows Control panel.
• If you notice substantial degradation in performance, close IntelliCAD and restart it again.
• Load files from the Most Recently Used (MRU) list under File in the menu bar for a 4x file load speed up.
