Remember the Shift KeyIf you're working with ORTHOMODE off (use the F8 key to toggle), you can temporarily constrain movement to the orthogonal directions by holding down the Shift key. If you're drawing a new object, such as a line, in IntelliCAD, you can use the Shift key to constrain movement to the X or Y axis. Likewise if you're moving or copying an existing object, holding the Shift key restricts movement.
This holds true even if you've rotated the drawing axis. Try rotating your crosshairs 45º by entering UCS Z 45 at the command prompt. Notice how the Shift key now maintains orthogonal movement relative to the axis rotation.
