CustomHome is a multimedia experience, it even checks your computer thoroughly for audio-visual capabilities during installation. It is more like a game than design software, with oversized graphic icons, music and sound effects.

You design your plan by dragging and dropping building components into the drawing area. You have access to HomeStyle house plans and can actually include them in you own design space. Make yourself acquainted with copyright provisions (provided), before you get to handy borrowing ideas.

Custom Home is as easy to use as it looks.

For all the theatrics, Custom Home provides a wide variety of options. You can define up to 7 different levels and customise doors and windows to any extent. You can choose from 8 different roof types.

There is a design assistance centre with lots of handy tips. Everything I read there made sense and having it close at hand during a design sessions is valuable and might even be a good way to settle differences of opinion between designers when working on your own dream home.

It generates a materials list and shows your design in 3D at the click of button.
