Noel Addison is a technical writer and technical instructor, originally qualifying in the communication electronics field, but re-qualifying some years ago to teach and document MicroStation and related Bentley products. He has written "MicroStation 3D by examples" and "MicroStation 2D by examples" (two editions of each, for earlier versions of MicroStation) which were published internationally. He has recently written metric and imperial MicroStation V8 course guides for the Bentley Education Network.

Apart from writing, he specialises in conducting MicroStation training at the client’s site, customising the courses to fit the local requirements. He has had a lifetime interest in good design and its application. This interest provided the motivation for his move into the teaching of MicroStation, which is a great tool for good design.
