Stereolithography

A rapid prototyping technology developed by 3D Systems, Inc. The system works by focusing a beam of UV light onto the surface of a body of liquid photo polymer. The liquid solidifies at the precise point where the light is focused and as the level of liquid is gradually increased teh solid object is formed. When forming is complete the liquid portion is drained away and the object is cured before final finishing.
